Young Adult Information

Young Adult Commission
The Young Adult Commission represents Disciples young adults across the life of the church. We strive to build effective communication networks, offer awareness for advocacy opportunities, and encourage congregations to prepare young adults to lead our church.
Disciple Peace Fellowship (Internship)
"Founded in 1935 at the International Convention of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in San Antonio, Texas, DPF began with 75 dedicated individuals, and is now one of the largest independent but integrally related organizations within the denomination. It is also the oldest existing Peace Fellowship of any denomination in the United States.
Global Missions Interns
The Global Mission Intern program invites you to challenge yourself in a one to three year international mission service opportunity. As you offer yourself in service, you will also learn more about yourself, your relationship with God, and your place in God’s world. You will build relationships that will change the way you look at the world. You will be a part of a growing group of young adults who have been transformed by these experiences and will provide you a new community on return. You will come back from your year in mission equipped to provide a global perspective on issues facing the church in our hurting world today.

Disciples Volunteering Interns
Disciples Volunteering assists and enhances Disciples serving community, especially through the servant missions and ministries of congregations.

Each year, IRTF conducts dozens of workshops in high school and college classrooms, as well as youth groups at local congregations.  IRTF hosts high school and college interns each semester. IRTF works with young people to deepen their understanding of social justice and to take action to promote positive social change.
