Dad for Grad Prayer

God of all being, our Heavenly Parent,

I come to you now praying for our graduating child and all graduating children.

Help them on this pathway ahead of them to find their way to fulfillment and contentment so that they may be at peace with themselves and the world around them.

You, O God, are the giver of all good gifts. Lavish our children with good gifts.

Help them on this pathway ahead of them to find their way to fulfillment and contentment so that they may be at peace with themselves and the world around

them.

As our children graduate from one footpath on the journey to the next, help them to be gifted with wisdom. When difficult choices need to be made, may your wisdom and guiding hand be with them.

Help them on this pathway ahead of them to find their way to fulfillment and contentment so that they may be at peace with themselves and the world around them.

As the events of life wear upon them, give our children energy to meet every challenge.

Help them on this pathway ahead of them to find their way to fulfillment and contentment so that they may be at peace with themselves and the world around them.

When people treat them poorly, help our children be kind in heart and guard their hearts against hurt.

Help them on this pathway ahead of them to find their way to fulfillment and contentment so that they may be at peace with themselves and the world around them.

Wherever this journey is leading them, be ever present with our children, that they may come to know beyond doubt that you are always near.

Help them on this pathway ahead of them to find their way to fulfillment and contentment so that they may be at peace with themselves and the world around them.

Grant O God, that our children may find love in other people and that their love might join them to one another and sustain them.

Help them on this pathway ahead of them to find their way to fulfillment and contentment so that they may be at peace with themselves and the world around them.

God of all being, gift our children with a continuous desire to learn and grow and to always be on the way to becoming mature and faithful followers of your being.

Help them on this pathway ahead of them to find their way to fulfillment and contentment so that they may be at peace with themselves and the world around them.

God of the past, present, and future, in these most difficult days when the health of the world is at stake and economies are collapsing, help our children be healthy and value the health of others as they find work and growing families that are life-sustaining and soul-sustaining.

Help us all on this pathway ahead of us to find your way to fulfillment and contentment so that we may be at peace with ourselves and the world around us.

Thank you, God, for hearing this prayer of a grad’s dad and for your ever-present love for our children. Amen.
